What Have You Done Now, Isiah?

Some new comedy has been injected into everyone's favorite punchline and punching bag, Isiah Thomas. From the New York Post:

"(Anucha) Sanders claims she was subjected to a campaign of denigration by Thomas, who allegedly called her a "black bitch" and a "ho" and made it difficult for her to work by denying her access to players."

PLEASE tell us there is a video about to be released onto the internet of Thomas saying "ho" in his creepy, soft voice. Or at least a tape with a Wu-Tang like exchange:

Woman: "Who you callin' a bitch?!"
Thomas: "You - bitch."

Another excerpt:

"Her "inability to accept the changes that occurred under Thomas' leadership fueled her antipathy," the filing states."

I love the idea of Zeke's legal team gathering around and devising a plan to use destroying the Knicks as their defense. Again, we can only hope this will lead to more comedy, such as Jalen Rose, Stephon Marbury or Jerome James taking the stand and talking about how this woman hated them for no reason.

By the way, someone tell Isiah to stop hanging out in the tunnel. Seriously, doesn't it just look like he is already planning his get away from another night of disastrous basketball?

Steve, Why Do You Torture Us?

I just had a feeling Steve Fisher was going to be the end of us this season. He almost was.

Fisher's butt-fucking of Michigan basketball almost came full circle last night, when San Diego St. almost choked away the Mountain West tournament title to Wyoming. With the loss, many projected the MWC would have gotten an extra tournament bid, with the Aztecs still getting an at large.

Needless to say, Steve enjoyed every second of it.

Why do you need the last laugh, you bastard? You've already been laughing for 10 years!

Joe Lunardi - Realests Reader???

Within an HOUR of my post about Michigan dick licking, Joe Lunardi shifts Michigan to the Last Four Out category of Bracketology. Now, if someone had stolen an automatic bid (South Carolina, Wyoming, etc.), it would make sense. But just randomly changing your mind during the middle of the day? Definitely dick riding The Realests....

STOP THE MICHIGAN DICK LICKING

Has anyone noticed that all the experts are projecting us as a 12 seed? And then when Digger Phelps said someone like Florida State should get in over Michigan, Jay Bilas went bananas talking about how there is something wrong if Big Blue isn't in the field.

As J. Brady pointed out
1) Bilas loves licking Amaker's balls
2) Why would anyone fight for Michigan when they won't fight for themselves?

I feel like I am now full-on cheering against them - what have we created with this blog?!?!?!?

Michigan State Conspiracy Theory

Did Matt Trannon really break his face against Michigan?

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is he actually a canibal that Izzo realized he couldn't make a run in the tournament without????????????

That's food for thought - go get a plate.

Zubino on 24: Tony About To Bite Dust

The Great Zubino
Realests Correspondent

Aaron Pierce should have been fucking ash by now. I’m pissed the 24 writers didn’t own his ass when they had the chance. It’s good to see Tony back cause he’s always a good guy. Martha needs to stop being such a cooter. So what if your husband had to sacrifice your life. Stop fucking whinin’.

We ALL knew what the CTU key card was gonna be used for:

A. Coke (Peso dealt???)
B. Getting into CTU (it entering the wrong hands, and releasing gas… Who didn’t see that)

Side note here- ever since Palmer has been gone, has anyone ever felt like Curtis is the tolken of the show, hehehe. But I don’t think he fills the role like Palmer did. Curtis doesn’t have that rugged deep voice. He also doesn’t have that mean stare.

How many times have we seen move his head after hearing shaking news, and looking around with the “what” look on his face…

Tony’s reaction to Michelle’s death touched me.

How much does it bother you about Lynn’s lips are FUCKED up. I mean look at them.

Jack has Asian eyes when he looks into the sun hahaha.

I like how Jack has the ear piece in so hes in constant communication with CTU. No more of that bitchy lady going “how may I help you”

Who thinks the Russian terrorists some what look Muslim and have an middle east accent? Or am I just going nuts.

Jack shooting Henderson’s wife was real. But Henderson still not giving up was realer. Props to the writers.

At the end of the first episode, we pretty much knew CTU was Joe Budden-ed (ala Jay)

Kim really needs to stop being such a douche to Jack. I’m glad kicked her ass to the curb with stumpy. Jack shouldn’t take her shit and should set her straight. And when Kim told Chloe to not make excuses for not telling her about Jack being alive, that was REDICULOUS. She’s a bitch now.

Back onto the note of Tony, we think he will own Henderson, but lets not get to carried away, the writers always mcflip it onto us.

When we saw Martha smoking, I was thinking Pierce should know 1 thing. “Kissing a smoker is like living with Woodly. Straight up fucking Nasty.”

Don’t you just love how all the times in the show (bombs going off, arrivals) end up being at the mid-hour, or at the end? How convenient.

And for the last part of the show, all I have to say is this….

Edgar… :’-(

Saddest ending ever.

But now onto next week: Who do you think is gonna make the ultimate sacrifice and leave the room? My bet will be tony, he has nothing to live for. I mean he does have cubby, but the cup
has runneth over for him.

Logan looks like Woodly btw.

N.I.T. Protest!!!!!

J. Brady and I have decided we will be protesting Michigan outside and inside Madison Square Garden for the N.I.T. Final Four. The little girl on the right has already agreed to bring her sign from Ann Arbor....

(I'm sorry, this is really wrong..... but really funny....)

Coming Soon: NIT Itinerary

I wasn't kidding when I said get your ass to New York for the NIT. That includes you: natives of New York City ("The Dude"), Michigan alums looking to party (J. Brady), current and former Michigan Daily staffers.

An E-vite will be sent out shortly as The Realests are opening up their door to anyone who wants to mock Michigan's way to its second NIT title in three years. We are in negotiation with Rattner about holding the "Rattner Invitational" over the same weekend.

Other activities include but are not limited to:
* Partying at "Off the Wagon" (a.k.a. Scorekeepers of New York)
* Terrorizing Woodley
* Meals at Waverly Diner (and the "Joe's-Waverly Challenge" if anyone has the balls)
* Bowling
* Reciting our favorite Jay-Z quotes
* Updates on the progress of "Frat boy Missionaries"
* Talking Michigan sports

And most importantly:
* Pretending like we're back in Ann Arbor

Editor's Notes

1) Please make sure to read the encore of J. Brady's Michigan-Minnesota preview. It really helps you appreciate just how little Michigan fans expect out of their teams.

2) Measly Penny will no longer be posted online. I apologize, but I am now getting charged money because I am taking up too much bandwidth. If anyone would like a copy, we still have the audio file thanks to The Michigan Daily. E-mail us at therealests@gmail.com if you would like it passed along.

Les is More?

"Dude, do you think Lester will play?..... I mean, even if he's completely out of shape, he's gotta be better than anyone else we have.... Fuck dude, how many games has Lester played the last two years? What a fuckin' disappointment.... Typical Michigan....."

I guess Lester has been too busy gang bangin' to play some ball...

Introducing MTV's New Show...

..."Cradlerobbers."

Numerous sources, inclusing UsWeekly, have confirmed that Nick Lachey is boning Laguna Beach's own Kristen Cavalieri. Good thing I'm leaving the country because this is a sign of bad things to come. Actually, this is too good to be true. Forget the fact that Nick is 33 and Kristen just turned 19. Actually, keep that fact in mind because it makes the whole thing even more gross. Nick has completely lost his mind. Apparently, it wasn't enough revenge for him to find out that Jessica has gotten fat, got herpes from Maroon 5's Adam Levine, and is going to have to give him half her money. Instead, he's traded her in for Kristen - whose stock is skyrocketing right now. Needless to say, we are horrified/ecstatic at this latest development. I can't wait to see Stephen's reaction to all of this - he's probably crying on Jason's shoulder right now.

Fuck you Jessica... Posted by Picasa

Please Spare Us....

Upon checking the game notes for Michigan's game with Minnesota, it is no surprise that we find Steve Lavin as the color analyst. Which means we will hear this at least once during the telecast:

Steve: "Brent, just look at this graphic. The Wolverines HAVE to get the ball inside more. Their big men - Sims and Brown - are both shooting over 60 percent from the field. You need those high percentage shots when you're struggling like Michigan has recently ..."

Later, Dickriders ....

1/2 of The Realests was scheduled to go to Europe for Spring Break and travel from country to country (you know the deal).

There's been a change of plans.

In our greatest idea since The Claw, we are heading to Cancun to sell Ron Mexico jerseys on the beach. Think of how many frat dudes will buy these.....

As always, we are approximating profits at $3 trillion .....

Putting Michigan Sports in Perspective

I don't think it has been stressed enough how much our teams suck at sports. It would be nonsense to compare ourselves to our neighbors, Ohio State. So why don't we compare ourselves to their neighbors, fellow powerhouse West Virginia.

Let's take a look at how Michigan stacks up during the 2005-06 school year. Now, I'm not a recruiting guru - but I don't think many of the best athletes in the country are from that state (although think of the domination they could have after in-breeding over and over again with one good player like Pittsnogle....)

Michigan
Football: 7-5 (Lost, Alamo Bowl)
Basketball: 18-9, 8-8
Women's Basketball: 6-23, 0-16 (Lost, Big Ten Tournament 1st Rd.)

West Virginia
Football: 11-1 (Won, Sugar Bowl)
Basketball: 20-9, 11-5
Women's Basketball: 15-15, 4-12 (Currently in Big East Tournament Finals)

OK, maybe the women's basketball team is partially my fault. But this screen isn't even mentioning West Virginia's Elite Eight appearance last year, or the fact that Michigan hockey could miss the NCAA Tournament for the first time in anyone's memory.

Personally I think we should fire Lloyd, Tommy and Cheryl at a joint press conference and hire Rich Rodriguez, John Beilein and Mike Carey at another joint press conference a day later.

Now there's some food for thought.

This is how the school CHOOSES to represent itself... and notice that the dead animal's face is still on the guy's damn hat.....

In Memorium: Edgar Stiles

I'm sorry for not blogging yet today.

As you already know, we are all a bit shaken up from Edgar's untimely death. Please observe a moment of silence for the fat, lovable bastard. I can't remember the last time my heart dropped like it did when his fat ass came running into the CTU main room in slow motion. The death requires a day of silence on the blog. Please don't forget to watch the premiere of 8th & Ocean tonight.

Feel free to share your memories of Edgar in the comments box below.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Michigan Daily Reunion and (gasp) the End of the Attic

If you haven't heard about the Daily reunion in April yet, please check out this website. I wasn't particularly interested in going to a semi-formal reunion just because the building is being renovated. But it was just made clear to me by Jackie Nixon that the attic is being destroyed. This is devastating news for all current and former staffers. People will get to go up once more over the reunion weekend to take anything they would like to keep.

Preview: 8th & Ocean

Another show has just been added to our list of must-see TV (24, The Gauntlet 2, Real World, Web Junk 20): 8th & Ocean (Tuesday at 10:30 PM). We told you before last season that Laguna Beach was going to blow up. It did.

And this is a sure bet to follow in the success (while the other Laguna spin offs flounder). In just a couple weeks, this show will be the one to watch on Tuesday night instead of the Real World (note to RW producers: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have a hot chick (and no, Svetlana is not hot). Real World: San Diego was crap, but we watched because of Cameron). Watching someone like Paula self destruct is entertaining, but only for so long. And certainly not when it just turns into bitching and moaning.

8th & Ocean has two VERY hot girls (Britt and Kelly) and a bunch of douche bag guys. I'm not sure anyone can top Stephen's "Am I supposed to be happy to see you?...." but the potential is there. And there appears to be a lot of hooking up, something that has seriously been missing from the Real World for some time.

Bob's Oscar Blog

Bob "The Animal" Hunt
Realests Correspondent

HOLLYWOOD, Ca. – Amid the stars, the outfits, and that fake party E! has for Ryan Seacrest to feel better about himself, it was yet another glamorous year at the Academy Awards. The big shock of the evening, other than the Three 6 Mafia winning best original song, was the upset of "Crash" winning Best Picture over "Brokeback Mountain."

But between Brokeback Mountain's three wins and Phillp Seymour Hoffman's Best Actor victory for playing Truman Capote, this was still an evening for the "males who like other males."

I quickly learned this after just a few minutes on the red carpet, with the constant use of the words "fabulous" and "divine" to describe anything, that "Brokeback Mountain" really struck a cord with many of the people around. Well, at least between those folks and people actually excited to see "Failure to Launch" next weekend.

"It's pretty well known around here that there are some folks here who like to take a little walk on the brown side every once in a while," said one actor, who didn't want to be mentioned, but was probably bitter that he was not nominated. "So the issues that came across in 'Brokeback Mountain' really connected with many Academy members."

Don't get me wrong: I have no problem with homosexuality. People should be able to like whoever they want.

Actually, on second thought, I encourage it. I need all the help I can get.

But think about it, the people who were involved in the musical theatre department at your high school were more likely to be gay. So how couldn't actors in general be more likely to be gay? And it should be of no surprise that a movie with two cowboys struggling with their homosexuality came away with the most nominations.

Well, regardless, amid the questions of "Who are you wearing?" were glowing remarks about Ang Lee's work.

"Brokeback Mountain is movie that transcended the whole world," said one director, oblivious to the fact that Monster-In-Law, Cheaper By The Dozen 2, The Dukes of Hazzard and Fantastic Four all made more money.

"I was thrilled with the fabulous job that Heath Ledger and Tobey McGuire, I mean Jake Gyllenhall, did playing Gay cowboys," Lee said. "And everyone keeps telling me how cute they looked!"

And no one understands why Los Angeles does not have an NFL franchise.

While Brokeback Mountain was generally considered a good film, it was hurt in the box office by the fact that no straight male would actually consider saying that he wants to go see movie that includes Gyllenhall and Ledger pulling each other's pants down.

If he tells his girlfriend he wants to see it, she'll get suspicious. If he tells his friends he wants to go see it, his friends will get suspicious. And if he goes by himself, well, let's not go there.

Meanwhile, Gyllenhall was visibly pissed after the show.

"I had to make out with a dude, answer 4,000 questions about it, and I don't win," Gyllenhall said at the Vanity Fair party afterwards. "I was told by my agent that I would be guaranteed an Oscar for winning this part. But at least chicks dig me. I may have not won the Oscar, but I am a winner in life."

So while Resse Witherspoon stole the show for her victory for Walk The Line, a.k.a. Ray for White People, this a celebration of gay cowboys and some other movies that no one outside of Los Angeles, New York, and college campuses ever saw.

But until next year, just remember, it's hard out here for a pimp.

Please Cancel SNL...

We thought SNL was saved. We were wrong. Note to Lorne Michaels and everyone else - you can't just repeat the same shit over and over again.

Realests of the Week

Was there any doubt about this one? Three 6 Mafia, hands down. From walking to the wrong microphone, giving a shout out in their acceptance speech and swearing on national television, you can just imagine the old white guys in the audience whispering to each other, "Who let these negroes on stage?" We are just waiting to find a column today writing about how the Academy is racist for not using their "real" names: Juicy J, DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, and Crunchy Black. Hats off to Jon Stewart for mentioning that they now have more Oscars than Martin Scorsese. Also a tip of the cap to the female lead-singer nailing that final "PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMP".

Too bad the PA announcer didn't mention previous songs such as "Chickenheads" ...

It turns out there is hope to be rehabilitated in jail.... From the New York Post:

"March 3, 2006 -- JAILED rapper Shyne is legally changing his name to Moses Michael Leviy - and he's taking out a classified ad in The Post tomorrow to make it official. Shyne, who hopes to get out of Clinton Correctional Facility upstate next year, was born Jamaal Michael Barrow in 1978. The Belize-born rhymer converted to Judaism while locked up and now claims to be descended from Ethiopian Jews."

Just when you thought Shyne couldn't ride Biggie's dick any harder, he does something like this and completely redeems himself....

NCAA Tournament Prognostication

No one has mentioned this yet, but in a cruel twist of fate, Michigan could be headed for the bozack of all showdowns with San Diego State and former Michigan head coach Steve Fisher. Currently first place in the Mountain West, the Aztecs should end up around a 10-seed. If Michigan wins on Saturday and their first round game in the BTT, we are probably looking at the 7 spot.

We know the NCAA is trying to keep teams in their geographic regions, but if they are already seeded 7 and 10, the committee would be crazy to pass on that.

It would definitely be a no-win situation for Michigan. If Fisher loses, he talks about how he got run out of Ann Arbor and is just glad to make it in the tournament. And if Fisher wins, he gets the last cock smack.

"I'm such a son-of-a-bitch..."

The Keyzer Soze of Basketball

Ever heard of William Wesley?

From the Detroit News:

"For example, Amaker left Wesley four complimentary tickets to one of the biggest games of the year, the Feb. 8 ESPN-televised home game against undefeated Illinois (in 2005). Wesley never claimed them, so the four seats sat empty."

Do we have the next Ed Martin on our hands? If so, he better bring in a much better recruiting class this year than Jerret Smith, Jevohn Price, Phillip DeVries and Kendric Price (by the way, I feel like the construction worker from Major League mentioning these names: "Who the fuck are these guys???")

Drunk Wizards

Man, and we all thought these kids were innocent. Given the success of the Harry Potter movies, it's only expected that this day would come. Do you think Harry is in the bathroom snorting lines of coke? Is Ron Weasley mainlining heroin with the chefs in the kitchen? Do they all buy their smack from Voldemort?

I guess that none of this is really a surprise. We all expected these kids to be junkies by the time they hit puberty anyway...

Zubino on 24

The Great Zubino

So folks, since this is my first real blog post , I thought there would be no better topic than 24. Here are some of my notes from the last episode and the whole season.

President Logan is a monster douche BUT the actor who plays him should win an award. Martha needs to stop being a little bitch; she definitely should have burnt to a crisp in the limo.

Edgar definitely does have feelings for Chloe. We’ve all sensed this shit since he first hit the scene.Maybe he’s been packing on the pounds because he’s been depressed about her rejecting him and boning that other guy who was a fake mole.

The plot in this season is the BEST in all of the seasons.

Lynn was totally being the biggest douche (bigger than Woodley for sure). He needed to be relieved of his job, but I really wanted to see Curtis pistol whip his ass.

Was the guy that tried to kill Bauer the same guy Nina said Jack turned on and turned in dirty agents in Season 1? Maybe.

Next weeks preview: KIM BAUER?!?! TONY ALMEIDA!?!?!? 2 HOURS?! I think my head just exploded.

I’ll be back next week like Jordan wearin’ the 45.

Hand In Your Bozacks??

Well, its time again for The Realests to break down our vocabulary for you, our loyal reader. A lot of times, you might read this site and come across the word "bozack" or some variation of that word. Well, a bozack is a gun plain and simple. For example, note the Jay-Z line - "Rap n****s on the Prozac, get the bozack, threw 4 at me I throw 4 back." Also, Jack Bauer uses his bozack to merck people during each episode of 24. Also, when The Realests do something sweet, we cross our arms and point them at the sky and pretend that we are firing our bozacks into the air (this move has been dubbed The Double Point Up Cross-Over Bozack Grind).

Now, that we've got that out of the way, we want you to know that the Philadelphia 76ers have started a Bozacks for Tickets promotion. Is this how Allen Iverson's crew gets into every home game?

Sport's Biggest Pimp: Final Four

The votes have been counted and we are down to four athletes left.

Rondell White was eliminated for getting hurt more than Ken Griffery, Jr (and leaving the Tigers). Orton's gone for being a whiney little bitch. Pedro's out because he is creepy. Dirk and Steve missed the cut because they deserve each other.

What remains: Big Ben vs. Aaron Sele and Matt Leinart vs. Rex Grossman. Keep the ballots coming............

It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

What A Complete Psycho...

Now, this is probably the most absurd thing we've seen in a long time. And, just to recount, here's some of the absurd things we've seen: Woodley playing with a double-sided dildo, a mouse riding a cat riding a dog, Ricky Davis passing the ball to an open teammate, Michigan beating Ohio State. Well, here's one more thing: A marriage contract.

This perfectly matches our level of maturity.

Mango On Ice!

"Moisture is the essence of wetness....

... and wetness is the essence of beauty."

Amazingly, no one has made the connection between U.S. men's figure skater Johnny Weir and Chris Kattan's "Mango" character from Saturday Night Live. Leave it to The Realests to let you ponder these things:

Facts:
* Admires Paris Hilton
* Nickname is "Tinkerbell"
* Admits he is "Princessy"
* Referred to himself as "the prettiest flower on the pond"

Quotes:

On how he prepared for his competition: "I slept for about five hours, then I got up and did my hair and put on my fake face."

On his performance, Part I: "It's over, it's done. It's Valentine's Day, and I can go out and buy myself a rose and some chocolate."

On his performance, Part II:
"I didn't feel my inner peace tonight. I didn't feel like my aura is white today. My biorhythms were a little off. I was black inside."

Virtual Realety

Obviously, the creators of 24 have been looking at the blog because they just created the realest thing to hit the streets since Jay Peso was slingin' crack rock on the corner (Hov did that so hopefully you won't have to go through that). 24: The Game is coming out soon and it looks realer than ever. There are, however, 2 problems with the game:

  1. They didn't use V's voice or face for Tony.
  2. John McCain isn't in the game (but he endorses it 100%).
This game is going to be the second or third greatest of all-time (behind NCAA and Pirate Ball).

So That's Why Tennessee Sucks....

It goes without saying that there has been a huge drop-off in the Tennessee football program. We've located the problem. Across the country, programs get away with hiring hookers, dishing out cash deliveries and cars, giving friends and relatives jobs in the athletic department, snorting coke with their players, etc., etc.

Tennessee? They are getting busted for giving recruits tickets to women's basketball games.

Squeeze First?

My policy has always been to squeeze first, ask questions last. That's exactly what I did when I put Eddie Sutton on blast. Now Uncle Eddie comes out and says he is an alcoholic, making me look like an asshole. My question: do I take down my earlier post with a letter of apology? Or do I kick the man while he is down and criticize this announcement as a PR move to make U.E. look like a victim?

So You're Saying There's A Chance...

Well, the movie has gotten both good and bad reviews. But The Realests haven't felt that we've had a really honest review...until now! You see, we've had our fair share of people telling us the story is awesome (Thanks Zubin and Brady) but there's a certain amount of bias in those statements. Now, someone who calls me ugly in 50% of our conversations has critiqued the movie, so we're pretty sure he's not going to pull any punches. To protect the identity of the critic we will refer to him only as Steiny. This is for his own protection.

Steiny: i read your whole script
chinchillas: well, that means you either hate it or love it
Steiny: nah
Steiny: neither
chinchillas: there is no in between!!!
Steiny: i think there were some very funny scenes
Steiny: and some really reaslly stupid scenes
Steiny: would i go see this movie?
Steiny: probably not
Steiny: would i rent this movie?
Steiny: definitely
chinchillas: awesome - thats going on the blog
Steiny: were the last two lines the best part?
Steiny: yes
chinchillas: hahahaha - awesome
Steiny: did i think it showed that the whole script was in fact a political satire?
Steiny: yes

Say It Ain't So!

Now, maybe this is just the crazy 24 fan inside of me talking, but this article really made me scared. I know Keifer Sutherland has a great time playing Jack Bauer and in fact, we have proof that he has taken to pretending to be Jack Bauer in real life (fast forward about halfway to see the clip of Keifer breaking up an attempted mugging). As much as I enjoy Jack getting into his role, this article makes me think that maybe Keifer/Jack has gone a little too far. I mean, it's only TV, you're not actually dying for a cause. Or are you?

He says: "I'll be happy to die. In fact, it's important to the show that Jack eventually dies. And that he does so when you least expect it.

"I've always said that if there comes a point in the show where to kill Jack is what serves the show best, then so be it, and I think every actor who has been in the show feels the same way about their role."

Darko Dog Nuts

I'm guessing Chad would like us all to forget this article about how sweet Darko was supposed to be.

Will This Video Ever Get Old?

No.

Round 3

McCain = Bozacks

Just in case you needed the exact time he was on...

Coming Soon: MSE Showdown

We are in negotiations with the past two Michigan Daily MSEs about a blog, counter-blog on Michigan sports. For those of you who are unfamiliar with their views, Brady is considered the "bitter journalist" (as evidenced by his blog, Fire Lloyd and Tommy!!!) while Gennaro is known as the "homer". If the early negotiations are any indication, this will be blastmastic:

killacaligf: i refuse to involve myself with that man in terms of michigan sports in any way

AllAboutTheCause: feeling is mutual
AllAboutTheCause: i pity the foo
AllAboutTheCause: who don't eat my cereal
I feel like I am trying to set up a title match between ego-maniac boxers. Please harass them as soon as possible to get this debate set up.

Real World Detroit!!

Good thing we have our ears to the streets, because they are talking about how the Real World is currently taping in Royal Oak, right outside the D. The Realests can only speculate this is finally the season for the "Mad Real World":

Putting Eddie Sutton on Blast

Would you want your kid playing for this guy?Posted by Picasa

The glorification of Eddie Sutton has gone too far. First, it was the constant "legendary coach" stories that ran at the Final Four two years ago. Recently, it was the sob stories about how this car accident might bring a sad end to a great coaching career.

Let us remind everyone that:

1) He had been drinking

2) OK State was successful because he was bringing in kids other programs either didn't want or threw out - JamesOn Curry, Tony Allen and Doug Gottlieb, to name a few. By the way, how many people here knew Gottlieb, now an analyst for ESPN, was thrown out of Notre Dame for stealing credit cards?... Oh, and let's not forget no-name Jason Keep. Here is what Sutton had to say about Keep last year in the Sunday Oklahoman: " (Keep) was a good guy, but he had a bad temper. He'd ocassionally get in a fight. He would take a swing at someone, especially after he had a few beers." That's nice.

3) Sutton was busted for one of the biggest scandals in NCAA history while at Kentucky. Among the violations, his son, Sean, took a college entrance exam for a player. Sean is OSU's head coach designate. Also, a recruit was sent $1,000 in an overnight delivery envelope (20 $50 bills through the mail, what is this - Blue Chips???)

Knowing all of this, the AP runs a story today about how the Big 12 coaching fraternity will miss Sutton, with a bunch of quotes from opposing coaches about how much he means. We don't blame the coaches (obviously they had to say something nice), we blame the AP for forcing them to regurgitate these words:

" "The one thing he always stood for was class," said Kansas coach Bill Self, who played at Oklahoma State and is one of Sutton's biggest admirers."

" "I've never coach against a better coach than Eddie Sutton," Sampson said. "I mean that from the bottom of my heart."

Does anyone have a problem with all of this???

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!!

The Originator

Wondering where we came up with the song "You are a huge nerd"? I've traced the lyrics to this. As for the tune, I'm still looking....
